Size & care

A good fit starts with the measurements. Use the dimensions on the selected product page as your guide.

Filled cushion or cover only?

Filled cushion

A filled cushion arrives ready to use, with its filling included. The product page says what is included.

Cover only (no filling)

A cover-only product includes the cushion cover or covers only. Cushion inserts are not included, so pair the cover with an insert of the stated size.

How to measure

Cushions and cushion covers

Measure a square or rectangular cushion from seam to seam, laid flat. For a round cushion, compare the diameter. For a shaped cushion, compare the maximum width and height. Check whether the item is a filled cushion or a cover before ordering.

Choosing a cover

Measure your existing insert and compare it with the cover dimensions. Fit depends on the cover shape and how full you like your cushion. Contact us if you would like help matching a particular cover and insert.

Bedsheets

Measure the length, width and depth of your mattress. Then compare the sheet measurements with the space you need to cover and tuck. Bed size names can vary, so check the dimensions as well as the size label.

Pillow covers

Measure your pillow and compare it with the pillow-cover dimensions. Check the contents list to see how many pillow covers are included in the set.

Dohars and bed layers

Compare the width and length with your mattress, then allow for the amount you want to hang over each side. Use the product measurements to decide how you would like the bed to look.

Inches to centimetres
Inches Centimetres Square cushion
12 in 30.5 cm 12 × 12 in = 30.5 × 30.5 cm
14 in 35.6 cm 14 × 14 in = 35.6 × 35.6 cm
16 in 40.6 cm 16 × 16 in = 40.6 × 40.6 cm
18 in 45.7 cm 18 × 18 in = 45.7 × 45.7 cm
20 in 50.8 cm 20 × 20 in = 50.8 × 50.8 cm
24 in 61.0 cm 24 × 24 in = 61.0 × 61.0 cm

One inch equals 2.54 centimetres. Converted measurements may be rounded; use the original product measurement when checking a close fit.

Check each product's listed measurements; bed size names vary.

Care guide

Give each piece the care it needs. The instructions for your specific product come first.

Check before cleaning

Read the care instructions on the product page and the care label before washing, ironing or dry cleaning. Fabrics, filling, trims and construction can need different cleaning methods.

Filled cushions and covers

Check whether a cushion has a removable cover before attempting to remove it. Do not assume that the cover and filling can be cleaned in the same way.

Bedsheets and dohars

Follow the washing, drying and ironing instructions for the exact item. Check for embroidery, ruffles or other details that may need additional attention.

General tips

Unless the product's care instructions say otherwise, a few habits help textiles last: wash similar colours together, turn printed or embroidered pieces inside out, avoid bleach and dry in shade. Always follow the care instructions for your product first.
